Watering Your Tomato Seedlings

You’d think that there’s not that much to watering seeds in garden soil. Well, you’d be right on that, unless you make a mistake right in the very beginning. First of all, right after you plant your tomato seeds in potting or seeding soil in their flats, be extremely careful to add only a little water very slowly and carefully. You see, most seeds are very buoyant and will readily float on top of any added water. Add your water off to the side of each seed well and don’t let it pool up. Use either a sprinkling can or a very small watering decanter so you can carefully control the amount and rate of water you’re adding to each cell. Check out the video here to see how it’s done.
