Newspaper Mulching Your Garden Tomatoes

What do you do with all those Sunday papers piled up in your garage? How about using them to mulch your garden vegetables? It’s a great idea because it’s free, it recycles the paper, protects your vegetable garden from weeds, keeps the soil around your plants cool and moist, and limits the amount of weeding you have to do. You don’t have to even have the soil in between your rows of plants completely weed free, since the newspaper is so thick and dense any weeds that are there, provided they aren’t very large, will just die off underneath and become fertilizer anyway.
